If you are looking for an adventurous and fun routine, but you have never put on boxing gloves and do not want to experience hard contact, we invite you to try Introduction to Boxing, or you can share a trial class with a friend. We provide the gloves – you just bring yourself. For those looking to take the sport more seriously, we offer training for amateur and pro boxers to take you to the next level.

Unlike routines that offer physical fitness through mindless repetitions, boxing works you physically and mentally. Boxing: The Complete Sport

All levels of boxing classes develop Ring IQ through practicing punch combinations and footwork, determining mistakes, and correcting them. It takes a sharp mind to assess an opponent, determine what move to make, and follow through. There is a psychological benefit to understanding your opponents, as Mike Tyson was known to do. Self-defense is self-care, and many students feel more confident after training because they can use their new martial arts skills to defend themselves against a threat when necessary. As challenging as boxing can be, we make it fun at our Midtown Manhattan gym as well. Students focus on present-moment awareness, where they build mental and physical endurance by checking their heart rate on their own or with a partner.

We offer a variety of training classes, many of them contactless, such as Introduction to Boxing. Conditioning classes like Rope Burn include cardio, heavy bag work, anaerobic exercise, and lessons that adapt hand and footwork to an individual’s level of proficiency. We do not expect anyone who arrives at our New York boxing gym to be in the best shape of their lives, because the joy of boxing lies in the journey of learning new skills and taking on new physical challenges. We encourage having fun, making new friends while learning, sweating, and growing stronger.
